| The institution |
| The parish of Santa María Madre de la Iglesia and San Juan Don Bosco known as Colón Parish, works with children and adolescents (girls and boy age 10-17) living in settlements or on the streets. The aim of the institution is to reintegrate them into the formal education system, to avoid them dropping out and to support their families. |

| The project |
The Esperanza Celeste project proposes the teaching of values and learning through soccer. The Parish supports three schools located in different neighborhoods in the area of ??Colón, in Montevideo (Las Palmeras, La Carbonera and Abayubá). Each center gathers children and teens together to play football.
In this way kids at social risk become involved in social and educational activities aimed at their inclusion. It is a space for children and adolescents of both sexes to incorporate values ??such as honesty, solidarity and respect, and conflict resolution tools. The integration of women in this project helps to foster respect from men, and mutual aid in the sport. |
