| During 2009, the Uruguay team worked on bringing more professionalism to the Uruguayan organizations we support. Thanks to auditing companies such as Guyer y Regules, Galante y Martins, KPMG y PwC, audits were conducted in four of those organizations. |

| In August, 2009, "Uruguay Week" was celebrated in Queens to commemorate the 184th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Reaching U received an accolade for its work and dedication towards helping Uruguayan women and children. |
