Mr. Baxter served as US Ambassador to Uruguay from 2006 to 2009. Prior to his appointment as Ambassador, Mr. Baxter had a long and successful career in the finance industry. Currently he is the Chairman Emeritus of Jefferies & Co. Inc., a global investment bank, and board member of several prestigious organizations. Mr. Baxter also devotes his time to numerous praiseworthy and philanthropic endeavors.
