Clean out your closet and help Reaching U!
Looking for a fun, unique, and easy way to raise money for Reaching U? Now you can sell an item on eBay and donate from 10% (5% for motors) to 100% of the final sale price to help us help women and children in Uruguay. Clean out that closet or basement or attic. You can sell practically anything on eBay and donate a percentage of your net proceeds to Reaching U.

How Does It Work?
Through eBay Giving Works, eBay's dedicated program for charity listings, you can list your items on eBay and donate some or all of the proceeds from the sale to Reaching U. Your items will appear with all other listings on eBay, but will feature a charity ribbon and information about us so that buyers know you and they are supporting a good cause. You complete the transaction as usual, but MissionFish, the dedicated solution provider for the program, will collect the donation from you and pass it on to us. In addition, if you choose to share at least 90% of the final bid with us, eBay will donate the insertion and final value fee you pay to us!

To get started:

1. Register as an eBay seller.
2. Look for "eBay Giving Works" in the "Sell Your Item" form within the "Choose how you'd like to sell your item" section.
3. Select Reaching U as the nonprofit you want your listing to benefit and the percentage of your listing's final sale price you would like to donate.
4. Read and accept the program terms and conditions.
5. Complete the rest of your form and submit your listing. This activates your Donation Account in My eBay and enables your donations to be automatically collected by your preferred payment method on eBay.

Tax Deductions

Remember: Reaching U, A Foundation for Uruguay is a not-for-profit organization under IRS Rule 501c3, so your contribution is tax-deductible as permitted by law.

Become a Reaching U Member

By contributing at least $50 twice a year or $100 once a year, you become a Reaching U member. Your membership will help hundreds of women and children in Uruguay to meet their most basic needs - food, health, and education. By being a member, you will have the satisfaction of helping an organization connected with you and your people.

Join the "Friends of Casa Lunas" Sponsorship Program

Becoming a sponsor lets you give financial and moral support to the low-income teenage moms and moms-to-be who attend the Casa Lunas Center in Montevideo. Each sponsor group member sends Casa Lunas a quarterly check for US$ 50. In addition, every three months, one member of the sponsor group is assigned to write a letter to the Casa Lunas group of mothers.

How to double your donation

If your employer has an employee donation matching program, your donation can be doubled. So that we can process the corporate gift, you must get the proper form from your company's Human Resources Department and send us the contact information together with your check; we will take care of processing it.

Understand how United Way works at your company

If your employer uses United Way for channeling your donations, ask your Human Resources Department about how to include Reaching U in the organizations benefited.
